Cherai's new niece Miya Noelle Lewis

Hi y'all.

Yes, it's been a minute (no a month) since I've been blogging. Part of the challenge has been that I discovered facebook and I LOVE facebook. It's so much easier to keep up with all my friends - most of who are on facebook. I've also gotten my entire family on fb, so that we can keep up with the latest pics of my NEW NIECE!!! I'm so excited. She was born on March 29th at 8:33 am. She weighed 6 lbs, 8 oz and was 19 inches long. I'll end this post with some photos b/c really - since her birth, I've been consumed with learning all about her. She's so cute.

Isn't she just the cutest? This is her in the operating room just coming into the world. As Laura says in one of her fb posts, Miya had to be evicted since she was just taking her sweet little old time coming on out of the womb. It was too cute!

Here is Miya all cleaned up and diapered up in the operating room.
and then here is Miya with her proud papa - and my lil bro Jeff.

Pictures on the blog - good for you but....

Hello all.

So, while it's fun to share photos on the blog to show you where I've been and what I've been up to, it's a pain b/c of the tiresome process:

First, you have to download the photos from the camera. And if you forgot your power cord for the digital camera, it really drains the battery. Those digital camera batteries are not cheap.

Once you have figured out where to place the photos on your PC, then you have to view each photo and name it! That can take forever, especially if you only download your photos every few months. Good grief!

Then you have to upload the photos to the blog and THEN put in the captions. TIME CONSUMING! I'm exhausted already.

So, please know that I do this just for you, my friends and family! This way, y'all don't call and/or email me with nasty messages to update the blog. It's getting there!

Owl on the Hotel Roosevelt in Seattle

So as I mentioned, there was this weird owl on the roof of the Roosevelt Building outside my hotel room. I was finally able to zoo in on the bird and could then see it was fake. But imagine looking at this outside my window and trying to figure this out. It was weird.

Just catching you up on things.

Grand Hyatt Seattle - I had a fabu view!

Hello folks. I was in Seattle this past September for a client program and was given the most absolutely beautiful room with the most AMAZING view ever! So here are some photos from dawn to dusk. Seattle is beautiful - everyone should go at least once. I went 4 times last year so I'm pretty good on my Seattle visits for now!

You can almost see the fake owl sitting on top of the Roosevelt Hotel (in the front corner of the roof on the ledge). That owl freaked me out and I had to look at it at least five times to ascertain that it was fake and not real. I believe that it acts as a scarecrow for other birds not to perch on the roof and dirty it up!

Isn't it pretty?

And now, at dusk (ro this might be dawn - I can't remember). But still pretty!

My poor little neglected blog...

Hi everyone who reads this blog. All 5 of you! :-)

Happy New Year! Yes, it's just been a busy time but hey, I'm still here.

So, what's been up since Dec 5th. Work, lots of that. Family - great to see them. Boyfriend - he's a sweetie. And more work - what else is new. A quick run down - which pictures to share later....

Christmas was good. Bryan and I went to Houston on Dec 26th to attend the Bears vs Texans football game. The Bears suck! They should have won that game.

New Year's Eve was spent quietly - we were both tired from vacation in Houston. But it was a blast.

I went to New Orleans at the beginning of January for a work event - that was fun. And where were you watching Inauguration Day? Boyfriend and I went to a house party and we had a good time. What a day that was.

I just returned from a full 8 days in Boston working a client event. Too fun but really exhausting - I came home last night and just collapsed! But my client was happy so that's a good thing.

THEN I had to get up this morning to get to Northwestern to go to my annual mammogram. Let's hope we get a good reading. Can you belive that Northwestern hospital is backed up with a six to ten month wait to make a mammogram appointment? Is that crazy or what?

so that is a synopsis of what's been up with me for the past 2.5 months. There are some pictures to follow soon. Hope everyone is well!
