Nevermind that it's Jan 25th already but hey - I'm getting back into the groove of blogging. As you know, life never seems to slow down enough to do all the things that one wants to do so....we just do what we can. I've actually been better about calling people so...those that follow the blog are a little behind the times. My apologies.
so since the last blog, here's a rundown of what's been going on in Cherai's world:
I have been a participant in Holiday Showcase tradeshow (and met a new mentor that will hopefully get me moving in my career transition)
went on a one-day trip to Philadelphia with my client to look over the space for an upcoming show in March
met Bryan's family (wait, who is Bryan, you ask? He's my sweetheart of a boyfriend - more on him later) who liked me,
spent Christmas with my family (and brothers Brian & Jeff along with Aunt Lil met Bryan and everyone seemed to get along),
spent New Year's in church with Bryan, Eugene and Richard (who had not met Bryan but everyone seemed to like each other)
Had traditional New Year's Day dinner with Bryan's family (his sister Pam cooked - and it was delicious).
Went to Aruba on vacation with Bryan (we had a BALL). As soon as I figure out how to download the photos, you'll see them
Went to Seattle on business - it was a good show with some drama but everyone overcame it all
Participated in my MPI-CAC Board of Directors Retreat in Skokie, IL
That catches you up to this weekend, which is the Founder's Day Celebration of the Chicago Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. I've been more active than usual in the sorority this year so that adds to all my stuff.
In between, I'm working on grad school applications as I want to get off my duckus and get in school to help with my career transition. Will share more on that later.
