More Aruba pictures...of my Sweetie B

Well, my sweetheart B had a really great time on our vacation in Aruba. Here are a few of him during the vacation just enjoying the moment. This first picture is of him just checking into the hotel. What a GREAT open air lobby. I could actually work there - reminiscent of my front desk agent and front desk manager days.

Now we're hanging in our backyard at the Hyatt. Doesn't he just look gorgeous?

This was taken over at the Aruba Natural Pool. He was chillin' out while I was taking a snorkel. He's so patient with me. Ladies, I think I'm keeping him for life so......enjoy the photos but that's all you can do. :-)

During our adventure tour, we explored this old fort. Well, it was actually the ruins of an old fort. So somebody got all adventurous and decided to climb up in the ruins to further explore and look down on the rest of us. Here is Super B - defender of the Adventure Tour!

Does the song "I'm too sexy for my shirt, too sexy for my shirt..so sexy it hurts...." come to mind? He's such a silly dude.

More photos to come - stay tuned!

Being sick is a drag.....

So you work and work and work and.....then you get tired with a weakened immune system and then you get sick. Man, that is a bummer. AND THEN, you want to just stay in bed and collapse and you have one of the busiest days ever! How rude.

Being sick is a drag.....Let's hope tomorrow gets better! Hope you all are well!

Aruba Animals on Tour

Here are just a few of the animals we saw on the tour and at the hotel while in Aruba:

In case you could not see inside the hut, here's a better "rear" shot.

The fish were gigantic in the ponds at the hotel.
Mr. B made friends with this noisy guy on property. This fellow loved to whistle at the girls and just made himself known all the time.
There were about 4 of these beautiful swans hanging around the pools and ponds on the property. They were totally unafraid of people and would just walk right up and around you if you were in the way.

These iguanas were HUGE! They did not make a lot of noise; however, each time they moved off one rock and onto another, they made quite the impression as you could hear them sliding around. I mean, really HUGE!

Aruba Adventure Tour - More shots

According to our tour guide, there is a horrible snake infestation in Aruba in the mountains. They multiply too fast and there are far too many of them. We saw at least three or four on our tour so each time one was in the road, we ran over them and killed them. As you see, here is our effort to contain the snake population of Aruba.

Here is the Aruba Natural Bridge. Quite interesting, isn't it? Did not get to climb across it but I saw enough so...I was good to go. This is a typical home in Aruba. The larger the home, the more affluent the owner. Most of the homes were of this size or of similar size.

There are cactus plants everywhere. They are creative with how they use cacti. This time, they used the cacti as a road barrier.

This view is from the highest elevation in Aruba. Isn't it lovely?

Aruba vacation - Part Two

Now that I have figured out how to download photos, I'm just a wealth of information....

B and I are sitting in our LandRover waiting for our tour guide to start our adventure tour!

We did not have enough drivers for the tour so some of our tour colleagues decided to become drivers of their Land Rovers and drove their groups through the tour. What a blast! That's a photo of our posse as we were in the first group with the "real" guide.

The photo above is the Aurba Natural Pool. What a great plae to go snorkeling. I had not really planned to snorkel but was tempted by the beauty of the area so I went on ahead and had a blast. Unfortunately, the watch I forgot to take off did not have such a good time so...it went bye bye. Fortunately, my sweetie decided to get me a new watch while we were there so I was not without time for too long...

Aruba's own version of Stonehenge!

Isn't this interesting? We were trying to figure out if these rock sculptures were natural or someone put them together as there were a TON of them in the area. We heard that some enterprising person created these rock sculptures. It was quite neat.

More to come since I can only seem to post about five photos per entry. Hmmm, perhaps I need to manage my posts a little better.

Aruba vacation - Part One

Well, here we are at the Hyatt Regency Aruba. Isn't it lovely? Gorgeous open air lobby!

We just arrived and now B is getting our first Aruba drinks. Hallelujah! I could use a drink, that's for sure.
Whatcha ordering, honey?
Here is the view from our first walk on the beach. Isn't it lovely? I could stay here all year around, that's for sure!

More gorgeous views from our beachside walks near the hotel. Posting this makes me wanna go back again!!!! I could use another vacation - and this was just four months ago. It was too short!

This was the backyard of our hotel. Nice view to wake up to every day, wasn't it? We had an absolute blast hanging out! You'll see some of those shots next time!

Hope you enjoyed the first shots of Aruba. There's more to come!!!

Guess what I finally learned how to do?

I finally learned how to download pictures from my digital camera!!! Yes, after almost three years, I finally sat down and figured it out! And I am ashamed to say - it was really easy! So now you'll be able to see some of the neat stuff I've been doing and places I've been since I can now finally share it with you! AMEN! It took long enough! But just be happy. I'll share with you a few photos in my next post!

Hugs for now!
